To be clear, I accept no remuneration for product reviews. I simply accept a sample of the product and conduct a fair and unbiased review. With that being said; I fell in love with this company before their product hit my doorstep because their website proved they are funny and functional. When they say their labels are delightfully versatile and crazy durable, they aren't kidding. Their website (which you can access by clicking on any of the photos of their products) is easy to navigate and their products are current, well-designed and some are even laugh out loud funny. I chose labels for Kate this time, but next time, when I spend my own hard earned money (because this company is worth it), I will choose labels for me. This teacher's school supplies will never mysteriously leave her desk again! And, when you receive Toblerone fudge for Christmas, you'll know it was made in my kitchen. Yesterday, when I opened the mailbox I was pleased to see the brightly coloured envelope mixed in amongst the bills and flyers. It makes a difference to me how things are packaged. It sets a mood or a feeling about the product you are about to discover. I knew these labels would be playful and I smiled instead of scrunching up my nose as I do when I receive the usual drab unmarked packages that could contain anything from car brochures to dental floss samples. I immediately opened up the package to investigate the design, colour and style of my chosen labels. They say, "Lady Kate" and they are gorgeous. Kidecals passed the first test: Form. Next I had to analyze function. I needed to see if these labels were truly "crazy durable." This is key for parents, you know. This label has to make it through the dishwasher (check), the dryer (check) and the hands of a three year old (check). I labeled Kate's iPad (it began as the family's iPad but no one was willing to take her on so she owns it now). I labeled her drink cups and her special toys. I labeled her winter boots and her coat, too. There are endless possibilities. I could blame my photography skills for the poorly lit pictures below or I could blame my phone, (I wonder if Canon needs a product review?) but either way if you look closely you can see that there was a bonus label in my order and it says "Team Awesome." I placed it on my file cabinet at work to remind my students which team they are on. If I didn't love this company for their kid-tough, well-designed products I would love them for their wit and wisdom. If you need labels check them out and tell them I sent you. How about a code for 15% off to boot? Type kidecals15 into the coupon code box to take advantage of this deal.
