Netflix is Streaming Star Wars: The Force Awakens Beginning July 15 So Naturally We'll Need to Have a Party

It's no secret my kids (and my husband) are big fans of the Star Wars franchise. Sweet Grace adores Rey and all her badass girl power and Kate, well, Miss Kate prefers the bad guys and the Clone Wars cartoon. (Are any of you really surprised?) So, we are pretty excited to stream Star Wars: The Force Awakens at home this weekend. And like any other exciting event, a full moon, a warm summer evening or a Tuesday, we might as well make a party of it and invite the neighbours. 

And just because it's summer time and this Kindergarten teacher is feeling well-rested, I think I'll attempt a few of the Star Wars snacks and crafts you see below. You know, just to make sure my kids remember I am way cooler than dad.
