I don't know where you live, but up here in Canada, February is no joke. It's the business-end of winter and it can wreck a person. If I sound dramatic, it's February's fault. We're in a fight. The Sun is busily warming the other end of the world right now and the short dark and frigid days of the North are brutal. (Respect to those Provinces and Territories that exist further to the North because those people deserve danger pay and free hot tubs to soothe their poor cold bones. Everyone seems a little angry and a lot short-tempered and It's because we are so damn cold. So, we stay in, because it's the only thing we can do. Our trips mostly entail running from the door to the car and from the car to the door. Sure, some of you might love this weather and relish in your winter sports and your silly giant shoes for snow-walking, but there are those of us that cower in the face of weather that hurts our skin. There are those of us that despise weather in any extreme and dream of a more temperate time, like Fall. Sweet, sweet Fall, when a sweater will do. To fight back, again a most dreary February, we enlist cozy, by the fire, movie nights with the family. If you'd like to try, it's as simple as the recipe below. Ingredients include popcorn, liquorice, a warm fire and Netflix. (Oh, and your family.) Our line up for February looks like this. See you in March.
