Little Masterpeaces just took the pressure off of this Kindergarten teacher. Kindergarteners are fickle little people. If it isn't fun than they don't want to play and I can't blame them a bit. I've found using current themes and super cute activities like the ones in this shop can make for a far better day for everyone involved. These are 21st century kids and they aren't interested in paper and pencil learning. They want hands on and sensory rich activities and I am prepared to give it to them. Check out this sweet shop and tell her I sent you.
Do you know what a quiet book is? A quiet page? No? Well, I am about to change your life. The Purple Empire makes quiet books to entertain children for hours on end. There is so much hand sewn detail in these little works of art and they all give the child an educational task to complete that is loads of fun. Do you see the little sock matching kit below? The children take the socks out of the dryer and match them to their mate! It's even more adorable than it looks. Our kids wouldn't choose screens if they had interactive, tactile and meaningful toys like this. I kid you not when I say Kate played with this little little magnetic felt fishing kit for hours. I can't even get her to pay attention to a screen for half that long (don't worry I would never do that, well almost never). JAYFELTGOOD is the shop and the gifted artist makes everything by hand of course. My little Kindergarteners will be fighting over this little kit next week. Maybe I'll use it to reward those who do their best with a few minutes of fishing time at the end of the day. Check out her sweet shop and tell her I sent you. :) |
