My kids were cool before but now they are killer! This week the girls and I had the extreme pleasure of receiving two pairs of Babiators sunglasses in the mail. The creator did not ask or expect a review on her product but simply felt the girls would love a pair of these stellar shades. Oh how, right she was. As you can see from the photo, Grace feels like a movie star, and she looks like one too, I might add. Kate (too cool to pose) is captured on her way to play a "giant turtle crushes the "Frozen" castle and she wears her babiators the whole time! Let me stress that I will receive no remuneration for my efforts to review this product. I really and truly love these little glasses. They are so well made and stylish. Grace tells me they feel great on and Kate left them on while playing indoors, so what does that tell you?! Children with sensory issues, like our Kate, can often struggle to wear things on their head, face or in their hair. The items must be gentle and comfortable and offer little to no intrusion to their already sensitive little bodies. Babiators were MADE for our kids. Did I mention, they can be polarized! The bottom line here, is that these are worth your hard-earned money. And they are only $19.99! You know you paid more for those cheap, headache-inducing Disney-inspired sunglasses that you can't find anymore. Click on any of the pictures below to visit the product pictured. Now, my only question is: when are they coming out with an adult version? If you have a small child then you know what their next birthday gift from me will be!

Kate loves to chew. It's a sensory thing that can draw unwanted attention from folks who don't understand why an almost four year old is chewing anything she can get her hands on. We've purchased many chewing items through our occupational therapist to encourage her to stop chewing on her toys or her clothes. For the most part, she enjoys them but she certainly stands out in a room. Recently, we received a Chewigem necklace. It's the most beautiful mother of pearl colour and hangs long with a breakaway clasp for safety. I adored it right away and so did our older daughter Grace who begged to wear it to school the following day. I presented it to Kate without explanation to get her honest reaction: Kate: To me????? Me: Yes, Kate. This is for you. Kate: Kate's amuwet???? (amulet) Me: Yes, baby. That is Kate's amulet. It's fair to say that Kate loves her Chewigem Pendant. Check out a few of other styles below. How cool are those dog tags? Kate adores her 'amulet'. She no longer stands out among her peers and some of them have even asked us where she got it. She can even wear it with a dress if we could ever convince her to wear one. She chews it with purpose and does not like to be disturbed while she is chewing away. Kate has destroyed many 'chewable items' that were advertised to be 'indestructible' but she's hasn't been able to make a dent in this one. For that reason alone, we are huge fans. Kate prefers her 'amulet' to hang with Gru from Despicable Me, above. If I can ever get it out of her hands I hang it in her room because we are nervous we will lose it. It really is a lovely product and we were thrilled to receive it. If you would like to order a product from Chewigem please click here. You won't be disappointed. Enjoy! |
