This piece is bright and fun and not like me at all. I like it for Grace's room, though. It suits her, just fine. What style suits you?
You know how I always tell you that need to own original art? Well, I do. Original artwork is probably the only safe investment left but that's not the reason why I think you should be hanging original pieces in your home. I want you to know what it is like to be moved by something someone created. I want you to feel like you've decided what you'll display in your home rather than choosing what the big box store tells you you should display. I want you to find an artist that makes you feel like my favorite artists make me feel. I want your children to know that you value what people create with their hands.
Grace and Form is my latest discovery. The artist hooked me with that haunting acrylic painting of the moon. (I half wondered if she forgot to add another zero to that price, too!) I am always drawn to darkness. I wonder what that says about me? Either way, I knew I needed to have it. I love it so much. Do you feel like that about a piece of art in your home? Please comment below.
I could stare at this for hours. In fact, I am sure I will. It's got texture, too, which doesn't transfer so well in the photo. Everything about this painting suits me. Does it suit you? Or are you a little brighter like the one up top?
