Sometimes, I just absolutely fall in love with something and begin to harass the creator to let me review it. I don't know what it is about these little shelves with their tiny hand cut animals but I can't get enough. First of all, they are unique and if you think about that for a second, it is a very rare quality, these days. Secondly, they are well made and lastly; what kid, (or really cool adult) wouldn't love to collect little treasures like this? Beth is the artist and owner of her shop: askamarmot. I'll let you explore on your own. I just hope you can appreciate these intricate little masterpieces like I do; like a child would. Yes, I have one for you. It's green if you're wondering about your decor. Like this post on Facebook or comment below to be entered.

I do love jewels. I especially love them when they are handcrafted. Kat & Muse is a little shop based in Canada (and you know I like that) and their jewelry is divine. The bangles are my absolute favourite but this is pretty great, too. Katharine is the talent behind these pieces. I am a fan for reasons beyond the beauty of her work, however. She uses natural, recycled and eco-friendly material where possible, and that includes minimal packaging. Do you see why I love to feature small businesses and artists? Please, do your best to buy from real people. Would you like to win a pair of the bangles you see below? Like this post on Facebook or comment below to be entered. I've done your Christmas shopping for you. I know it's only July. That's what makes this so great. You can get a little shopping done early and enjoy the season without the headache of trying to find the perfect gift. I've found it for you and you're welcome This company and their cause makes shopping with them great for your conscience and your wallet. Balls of Steel has just helped me finish my list of 'hard to buy for' but 'righteously cool' folks. I love their selection and NOT just because I am a whiskey drinker. I love these and this makes me laugh, so I am going to need that, too. I also love that, in their terms, every purchase helps win the battle against watery drinks and testicular cancer. I know you either need these or you know someone who does, so 'like' this post on Facebook or comment below for you chance to win some Balls of Steel of your very own. I do like a small business. There is something about someone giving it a go that makes me want to support them. It can't be easy. It helps that the shop owner makes such great items. I have a lovely portfolio and a clutch from Sweetly Southern Mongrams and I am just sitting here deciding which will be your prize this time. Do you need a smart clutch like this or do you need a little help keeping organized with this? Maybe, I will surprise you. Maybe, I will send you both. Alright, you can imagine how well this one is going to go over, right? Could that brooch be anymore appropriate for us? Puzzle piece, piece of my heart, you catch my drift. Even though I am partial to the 'bite me' brooch I can see how that heart could mean a lot to one of you super autism moms (and dads) and I mean to get it to one of you as soon as I can. Vangloria is the shop and Miss Vanessa is the designer that created these handmade pieces and she sent them all the way from Lisbon. If you have a deserving autism parent close to you, you might want to start Christmas shopping now. This time I'd like to run the giveaway a little differently. Vanessa was kind enough to send along another little surprise when she sent me the 'Puzzled' brooch and I'd like to send both of these gifts to one of you under the condition that you gift the second item to someone who you believe deserves it. The best part of writing these features is giving away these beautiful items to worthy parents who could use a pick me up. I want you to have the very same feeling, got it? So, 'like' this post on Facebook or comment below to be entered to win the 'puzzled' brooch for yourself and a treat to gift to whomever you see fit. Good Luck! First of all, she is a stay at home mom, which means she works harder than many of us and she still finds the time to sew these stylish poufs for her shop Sweet Coco Couture. Secondly, she makes the cutest bibs like this one and this one and it's just not fair that I didn't discover her earlier. This seamstress was kind enough to forward two of these stylin' poufs to us for feature. One is tucked in a corner of my eldest girl's room and the moment she gets home she grabs her favourite doll and snuggles up on her pouf with a book. The second one is sitting here waiting to go to one of you lucky people. Like this post on Facebook or comment below to be entered to win. It seems that for success in science or art, a dash of autism is essential. ~ Hans Asperger I collaborated with an artist! This is so exciting to me. This stellar tumbler is the result. Face it, you need it. It sits beside me right now. It seems to me that every autism household should have one. Rabbit Run Road is the shop and Leita is the lovely artist. Do you have your own idea for a tumbler, beer mug or another glass item? Contact her and see what you can come up with. The tumbler says here! I have some pretty clever salt and pepper shakers for one lucky winner, though. Like this post on Facebook or comment below to be entered. Good Luck! I'm not sure if you can really tell from these photos how well-made these nap/play mats are. I started this product feature with some flowery language to grab your attention but I erased it all because I really just wanted to let you know that these naps/play mats arrived yesterday and they far surpassed my expectations. Kid Cozy doesn't mess around when they sew. I am fairly confident that any daycare operator reading this will invest in these mats immediately. My children will happily snuggle in their mats to watch a movie right here on the living room floor or set up elaborate blocking for their toys. I am a huge fan. Kid Cozy didn't forget about you either. Of course, I have one for you. 'Like' this post on Facebook or comment below and you'll be entered. Did I mention the pictures don't do these mats justice? Just you wait and see. |
