Ultimately, we chose the Lighted Musical Butterfly for Visual Stimulation because like I said, a sensory kid is a sensory kid, Kate and I have spent hours laying in the dark and listening to the soft music and watching the glowing lights from her "Butterfly Machine", as she calls it. She is calmer and happier after our time and you know what, so am I!
Visual stimulation is very appealing to Kate, because like most with autism, she is extremely visual in nature. If we are lucky enough to continue our relationship with autism enabled we'll have access to sensory-motor tools that we could only dream about.
